The dancer Zoé-Afan Strasser was born in Vienna in 1999. She attended the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera for four years. Since 2012 she has been training at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna and in the summer of 2018 she completed her Bachelor's degree in dance with excellent results. Zoé-Afan Strasser won a first prize in the category Outstanding Choreography at the WienWeltWettbewerb. For her solo Green ME she was awarded prizes and scholarships at various competitions and festivals. In 2018 she attended the Alonzo King Lines Ballet Training Program in San Francisco for one year and gained artistic experience there. In 2020 Strasser took part in the 24th International Solo-Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart with her choreography Mell brwn. Interdisciplinary projects with visual artists and musicians are a major part of her work. She collaborated with artists like Erwin Wurm, Baubo Collective, Shake Stew, QUOD and Matthew Lutz-Kinoy. Since 2016 she teaches ballet and contemporary dance for adults. She has worked with renowned choreographers such as Esther Balfe, Virgine Roy-Nigl, Antony Rizzi, Maurya Kerr, Simon Mayer, Sharon Booth, Darrel Toulon, Jacopo Godani, Christian Burns, Courtney Mazeika, Kiani del Valle, Akemi Takeya.
